Broken Overpass, Flooded Hotels, Jesus, the Rock, Rescuess

12-30-24 – Judy B. Ortega – Broken Overpass, Flooded Hotels, Jesus the Rock Rescues

I woke up from a vivid, color-filled dream that felt like a series of events unfolding all in one day.

It started with a beautiful, sunny morning. I found myself standing outside a two-story hotel, surrounded by many other hotels, each with different shapes and vibrant colors. They looked like the kind of vacation spots people go to, but strangely, there was no ocean, just dry land.

As I stood there, I looked to my left and saw a high, curved overpass in the distance. It was a one-way road with vehicles traveling from right to left. However, all the vehicles were stuck in traffic, creating a long line of cars, trucks, vans, and 18-wheelers. Without warning, the overpass suddenly broke in half. The section that collapsed sent all the vehicles falling to the ground below, causing destruction and death.

A sense of urgency washed over me. I knew I had to warn people about the disaster unfolding. In desperation, I ran from door to door, hoping to alert everyone. As I did, the bright, sunny day suddenly turned gray. The winds picked up, and rain started pouring down, but I didn’t stop. I kept knocking on doors, determined to warn the people.

Finally, I managed to open one door on the second floor. Inside, I saw Ashley and her fiancé, Jesus. Jesus was sitting at the edge of the bed, and Ashley was standing in front of him. I asked her if she was okay, noticing that she was breathing heavily as she was drenched in water and her hair full of sand. She looked at me and simply said, “Yes.” I knew at that moment that she had just come in from the storm outside, seconds before I opened the door.

I quickly closed the door and continued my attempt to warn people by knocking on every door, but they were all locked. As I ran, I glanced to my left and saw the overpass again, with cars still driving toward it, unaware that the bridge was destroyed. They were heading straight for disaster, and I had no way to warn them.

I pressed on, looking for a way out. I found a narrow path, but as I tried to make my way through, the lights went out (narrow path, storm, dark = difficult!). It became pitch black, and I couldn’t see anything around me. Then, I felt the ground tremble, followed by the unmistakable sound of rushing water. The water was coming toward me with great force. I knew the way out was just behind me, but I couldn’t see anything. As the water quickly rose, it reached my waist, pushing against me with intense pressure.

Somehow, I managed to escape and found myself watching as the hotels—except the one I had been in(along with Ashley and Jesus and Peter and the Elams)—were swept away by the water. The reason this happened was due to the water pressure built up in each hotel until the buildings began to break, explode, and crumble into the flood.

Suddenly, I saw Peter Elam. I knew, in the dream, that the Elam family was upstairs in the hotel and they were safe. I ran up the stairs, trying to reach them, but the stairs were crowded with people—both ahead of me and behind me. As I took the stairs up, PETER ELAM came up right behind me. He wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me tightly three times as he intentionally released over me his warm breath that came out of his mouth. Although it wasn’t sensual, I understood in the dream that he was trying to protect me from the cold and keep me warm since I was soaked in water, though I didn’t have any sand on me.

And then… I woke up.

Thoughts

Betsy: Judy and Gabbie were off to a great start with the interpretation, so I encouraged them to pray even more into the dream. Most of these thoughts, they received, with Mark and I inserting a few important points we saw. I consider this a very important New Year's Dream. In some ways, the theme is similar to my New Year's Dream.

I will make a few comments about the setting of the dream before putting Judy and Gabbie's thoughts followed by my thoughts with Mark's input.

 Unfolding all in one day: this sounds a bit like Rev. 18:8 concerning the destruction of Babylon..."unfolding all in one day"

8 For this reason in  one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.

Sunny day - people comfortable and at ease when this starts

"bright sunny day suddenly turned gray" - the day of the Lord is a day of clouds and darkness (Joel 2:2)

Different shapes and vibrant colors of hotels/vacation spots - has the outward appearance of life, but the destination is dry. For most, it's a vacation away from the Lord.

Second story hotel has the upper room of prayer and wisdom and justice. As the dream unfolds, this is the house built upon the Rock (Jesus) that stands when the rains come.

Looking to the LEFT - seeing the judgment of the 'goats', those that don't do God's will.

Warning people as an Ezekiel 33 prophet. Judy had found the narrow path which is the RIGHT way which leads to life and few there be that find it. She would be safe.

Judy B:   Good morning, Miss Betsy!
To be honest, I can pray about it and hopefully gain more insight from the Lord, but I’m not the best at interpreting dreams, hehe. I just seem to have them!
The only thing I can think of is that cars often represent ministries. In my dream, the cars came to a complete stop and then fell. This could suggest that something in the near future might cause ministries to be halted or forced to stop, much like how the pandemic caused many ministries to shut down. So, perhaps ministries will fall due to the obstacles that may and will come their way.

As for the houses I saw under pressure, they might represent people. It seems that people will face intense pressure, and some may not be able to withstand it. They might be tempted to give in to lies or compromise, which could ultimately lead to their downfall/destruction.

The water or flood in the dream likely symbolizes deception.

Beware that your hearts are not deceived, and that you do not turn away and serve other gods and worship them. Deut 11:6. And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth...Rev 12:9.  15 And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, (Israel) so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. 16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouth. 17 So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.  Rev 12:15-17. And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone... Rev 20:10.

The pressure from the water caused the destruction of the houses, indicating how deception can destroy people's (foolish - built on sand) foundations.

Ashley might represent the bride of Christ, especially since she was with Jesus in the dream. Her long hair could symbolize beauty and covering, but the sand in her hair doesn’t seem like a good sign—it might indicate that something beautiful has been defiled or tainted. Jesus being on the second floor suggests the upper room or a place of prayer. Ashley, the bride, ran to Him when the storm hit. Perhaps this suggests that it will take a strong storm or trial for the true bride and the remnant to be awakened and drawn closer to Jesus.

Peter in the dream likely represents Jesus, as he is the Rock upon which the Church is built. The house built on the Rock (Jesus) stands in the parable as well as in this dream. Peter's hot breath could symbolize the Holy Spirit, empowering and sustaining.

As for me, I’m not entirely sure what I represent in the dream. Maybe the prophet? Perhaps a voice crying out in the wilderness? I’m not sure, but I’m open to further understanding.

Betsy:   Your comments about the dream are very insightful (the Lord IS helping you!) and I see the same things, except I feel the cars and SUVs in your particular dream are individuals/families. The big Trucks and 18 wheelers possibly being important leaders and/or the ministries and churches they represent as you noted.

Notice the vehicles are all going one way from RIGHT to LEFT!! Sadly, I believe you’re seeing the great apostasy - the great falling away - Christians abandoning their faith! (My New Year's dream showed the Bride of Christ contemplating IF IT WAS WORTH IT TO FOLLOW CHRIST, to abide in the Lord/His Presence/anointing/prayer because when she was thinking this way, everything started breaking (persecution, end time events causing Christians to grow weary of doing good, etc).  My dream immediately made me wonder if this year will have a great falling away -the apostasy - just as I see in your dream!Both our dreams had the Bride of Christ in them.

So many doors you tried to warn were locked - people/families that would no longer listen, a willful act of choosing to not listen to the Lord anymore, even as He tries to warn through the prophet. Again, so, so sad.

 The flood, as Gabbie noted, is the flood that houses built on sand will not withstand, but the house built on the Rock (Peter's confession that Jesus is the Christ/Jesus is the Rock) will stand. (I've preceded the following verses with the ones right before, since they are related.) Matthew 7:21-27:

 True and False Disciples

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons, and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

The Wise and Foolish Builders

24 “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

I feel the Lord downloaded to me the special meaning of why Peter hugged or held you tightly from behind 3 times. (Of course, Peter, as the Rock, represents Jesus/God and 3 is a number representing God as the Trinity, and rising in 3 days)
But there is a very special meaning to the 3 hugs from behind. Remember how many times the Lord commissioned and imparted confidence back to Peter and affirmed him after he denied the Lord 3 times.

Peter received a special call and anointing to LOVE and FEED the sheep and lambs 3 TIMES straight from Jesus. John 21:15-17:

15 So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these? ”He *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him,“Tend My lambs.” 16 He said to him again a second time,“Simon, son of John, do you love Me?”He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him,“Shepherd My sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time,“Simon, son of John, do you love Me?”Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time,“Do you love Me?”And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You knw that I love You.” Jesus *said to him,“Tend My sheep.

The Love Motivation (in the Amplified version)

The reason you were hugged from behind is Peter was covering everything from your past as your ROCK/JESUS. Covering all the moments we Christians have faltered because of the intense end times storm coming against us (in 2025?) His Holy Spirit breath was warm as the Lord in Him was trying to KEEP YOUR LOVE FROM GROWING COLD - a real temptation in the end times.

You were receiving the ‘Peter anointing’ to feed and LOVE the sheep in the end days. I, Betsy, want that anointing, too! Let’s pray we all receive it as the storm comes to try to make our love grow cold.

It’s interesting that the ‘Peter anointing’ which first was imparted from Jesus to Peter and now from Peter/the Rock Jesus to you is that that anointing will be needed in these end days. Read 1st and 2nd Peter. His writings are very burdened about end times and the ensuing deception.

“The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.”
1 Peter 4:7-8 NASB1995

Interestingly, another dream with sand used in a negative context was sent to me by an old friend. She had her dream early 1/3/25, so basically another New Year's dream.  But hers ends in hopeas she is sweeping away the large accumulation of sand (aftermath of the flood of deception) out of a house.
